You're a mean one, Mrs. Grinch... but no more.

Lately I have been feeling like a grinch. Christmas is my favorite time of year, but I haven't been as much into it this year as normal. Instead I have been feeling sorry for myself because we don't get to spend Christmas with my family in Minnesota. But today, it hit me. Of all things for me to feel, self-pity is about the last one that I should let ruin my Christmas. I have SO much to be thankful for. Obviously, for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have an amazing husband and son who are here for me every day to make me smile. We have a warm house. We have 2 running cars. We have amazing friends and neighbors. We have the cutest nephews and niece in the world. We have the great opportunity for Bryan to get an education - something that a lot of people aren't able to do. We still get to spend Christmas with family. Bryan's family is nearby and is always here for us, and they have helped us so much over the years that we can't possibly ever begin to repay them. They have always made me feel like I have been a part of their family from the beginning. And even though it's not over Christmas, thanks to help from some family members, I still get to take Weston to see my family. So what have I got to be sad about?

Among all the things I get every day, today I received many little things that just led to a wonderful day. I had the chance to have lots of wonderful kids at my house today, who were so sweet. One of them, a 4-year-old-girl, told me the Christmas story, which she knows by heart. When she talked about Christmas, Santa was mentioned once - and Jesus many times.  I also got to hold her new baby brother. There is nothing like holding a baby to remind us that miracles happen every day. I had the chance to form a stronger friendship with someone who was previously just an aquaintance. Some friends of ours dropped off some spaghetti. it seems like such a simple Christmas gift, but I really needed it today. (As many of you know, I'm not a great cook, so on the nights that Bryan is asleep early, I usually just have a sandwich for dinner.) And as if all this wasn't enough, I got an amazing Christmas gift. Bryan got a call that he won a fabulous new digital camera. You have all seen me complain about my camera on here, but a new camera wasn't really a necessity - so I'm calling it a tender mercy. And just in time to take pictures for Christmas and in Minnesota. :)

Sometimes, when you just need a little pick-me-up, the Lord reaches out and gives you SO many blessings, you can't even count them all in one blog post.

Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you all for being our friends and family. :)

Halloween

I am still flabbergasted that yesterday was October 30th, but the festivities are over. Idaho is strange like that... But either way, we did all the same stuff, so the day on the calendar doesn't really matter, right? Here's what we did:

Thursday: Boo at the zoo! Weston wore two costumes this year. One for inside activities, one for outside. Naturally, Boo at the Zoo was outside, so he wore his warm costume. My aunt Lisa sent this adorable skunk costume. We were at the zoo for an hour and a half, and yes, Weston wore the ears the entire time!

I told Wes to smile, and this is what he did:

Looking at the animals:

Friday: Carving the pumpkin!

I thought Wes would love helping me with the pumpking, but he took one look at the guts and wanted to do nothing but put the lid back on. (as seen above)

Saturday: we were invited to our old ward's Halloween carnival. Weston didn't want to play any of the games, but it was fun to see some of our friends again.
Weston's other costume was Steve, from Blue's Clues! You would not belive how hard it was to find a long sleeved green-striped shirt. We let his hair grow for a couple months so he could have the awesome combover. I think he looks quite handsome. :)

Here's how the pumkin turned out!

I took Weston to our ward's trunk-or-treat. He loved it so much, so I also took him trick-or-treating, just on our block.

A note for those confused: in Idaho Falls, it is accepted that if Halloween is on Sunday, trick-or-treating is done Saturday. I still think it's weird, but whatever. Either way the kids get candy, right?

Weston quickly figured out that going to a door meant getting candy. What a great rule! When we got home from trick-or-treating, Weston grabbed my hand and tried to get me to keep walking. He had so much fun, and people loved him. One older couple on our block loved him so much, they gave him a whole handful of candy! (I mean a REALLY big handful!)
Wes didn't want to go in the house, so we sat on the step for a while, handing out candy. Since I figured we would be there a while, I took Weston's skunk ears off and relaced them with his hat. (He was wearing gloves, but they got all sticky.) While I handed out candy, Wes went to work eating his own. In the picture below, he literally has almost an entire fun size snickers in his mouth. Somehow he managed to get that down without choking.

Halloween was so much fun this year! I can't wait for next year when Wes can actually say "trick-or-treat" instead of signing "please". Either way, he was the cutest trick-or-treater I've ever seen! :)

Smarty pants!

  • Weston LOVES to go outside with Daddy. Last night Bryan was so nice and let Weston "drive" his car for a while. (No, they didn't move!)
  • Now when we go places Weston thinks he should be the one to drive.
  • This morning Weston had a package of fruit snacks. Rather than eat them, however, he dumped them all over the floor, then started hiding them. Here was his spot of choice:

It's beginning to look a lot like...

FALL!

This morning I woke up and there is frost on the ground. Colored leaves are everywhere outside. So, I decided it was time to make it look like fall inside!

These pants were my amazing $2 find at DI. I had to have them.

And because I can't post pictures without posting at least one of my little man:

Weston loves to help Daddy mow the lawn.

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Our little trooper

As many of you have already seen on facebook, Weston has had a rough day. We brought him to the ER at about 4:00 this morning, because he was coughing so hard he was dry heaving, and barely able to breathe. The people in the ER were fantastic and got him in right away. I mean, before we could even fill out the forms they took him back to start looking at him. Weston didn't enjoy all the poking and stethoscopes, but he was a trooper through the whole thing and even sat still for his chest x-ray. The ER doctor told us from the x-ray, he thought it was RSV. We were much relieved however, when the test result came back as Bronchulitis. (Like RSV, and treated the same way, but not as severe. And if it had been RSV, Wes would have had to live in a bubble.)

Wes had several rough hours, where all he wanted was Bob (his duck) and Bryan. (Nope, not me. Usually I'm the one he wants when he's sick, but I think the hospital made him scared so he wanted his big strong daddy.) He was (and is) getting albuterol treatments every 4 hours or as needed. He was on oxygen this morning too (which he hates!). He is now also on antibiotics to keep him from getting any other infections, and steroids. When the nurse brought in the steroids, he told us Weston is lucky because they are the same kind baseball players use. (Wes being a huge baseball fan, you can imagine his excitement... except really not.)

This morning our friends Steve and Karen came by and Steve helped Bry give Weston a blessing. If you read on, you will see that it worked! We love miracles. :)
By about noon Wes had had about 8 hours of sleep since 8:00 last night. However, he woke up in a much better mood and even ate a tiny bit of lunch.

I was feeling kind of bad because today was our ward's primary program, and I had to call this morning and tell the primary president I wouldn't be able to make it. (I probably would have felt worse, but it's hard to care much about anything else while watching your baby suffer.) Fortunately, the primary president was so understanding and found someone to cover me. Right after church one of the primary teachers (who has often helped take care of Wes while I play piano in primary) stopped by to visit. A couple hours later the primary presidency and chorister showed up, and even brought Wes a present - a pack of cars! Not long after that, a couple of men from the church showed up and gave me the sacrament. It was such a blessing to feel so connected to the church even when we couldn't go. The Lord has really watched out for us.

Now Weston is still getting his breathing treatments, but he's off the oxygen. If he can stay that way through the night he'll get to go home in the morning. He barely ate anything for breakfast or lunch, but he ate dinner like there was no tomorrow. He scarfed down his grilled cheese sandwich and French fries.

***Pause for random thought: is it really necessary to capitalize "French" in "French fries", even though they are not in fact French? ***

Another blessing is that we get to see my mom tomorrow! Originally she was going to get here Saturday night and leave this morning. But thanks to some "blessing in disguise" delays, she'll get here tonight, stay with Steve and Vivian, and we'll get to see her in the morning. Weston and I both will be much better able to enjoy our short visit tomorrow morning than we would have been able to this morning.

The last thing I have to say to everyone is THANK YOU. We have had so many texts, phone calls, & visits, and we know that lots of people out there were praying for Weston's speedy recovery. Our little adventure will sure put a ding in the budget- but just like it's hard to care when he's suffering, we're just SO grateful that he's feeling better that we are not even going to complain. We feel so blessed to have our healthy, happy boy back.

Summer Part II

August:
-Weston climbs. EVERYTHING. And yes, that is his outfit of choice.
-Weston is learning new words. His favorite is still "no". I wish I could say I don't know where he learned it, but he hears the word a lot. (See above entry: "Weston climbs") Other words include "Mama", "Dada", "zoo" (shoe), "Woof woof" (a.k.a. dog), "voom" (car/truck/airplane/train), "Ba" (ball), and "ooba" (football - Daddy is so proud.)

-After much Persuasion, Bryan convinced me that it was time to leave Weston overnight.
-Actually, he tried to get me to leave for a few days, but I was too much of a chicken.
-We left Weston at Grandma Visser's, with me almost in tears, and Weston so excited he would even acknowlege Bryan or me as we left. Weston had a great time, and I called every few hours, ready to go get him at any moment.
-Bryan took me to Park City for the weekend. Did I remember the camera? Check. Did I remember to take pictures? Not so much. I did manage to take 2 pictures, and they're not great:
-This was on the drive down to Park City. Gorgeous views.
-We stayed at a 5-star hotel called the Waldorf. A. Maz. ing. Included were robes and slippers for both of us (not to keep. Dang it!), a SUPER fluffy bed (maybe a little too fluffy for my taste, but that's probably because I can't afford such a luxury!), and a pool & two hot tubs all to ourselves. Also, a fireplace, and TWO TV's. One in the main room, and one - pause for effect - in the bathroom. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub, and a TV with a sound system so it could actually be heard. Turns out there's really nothing on TV on Saturday mornings, but I watched TV anyway while I got ready. Just because I could.

-Also in our room was this blow dryer. My camera is not great, but if you look closely you can see the diamonds (fake? Let's pretend not) on the handle. Talk about luxury.
-It turns out if you stay in a 5-star ski resort in the summer, prices are WAY low. Still, the most expensive place we've ever stayed, but think of all the money we SAVED!
-We didn't know before we got there that we were not permitted to park our own car. Nope. You pull up to the front door, and a valet takes your car. I felt out of place at first, but man. That was cool.
-While we were in Utah, we saw 2 of Bryan's mission buddies. One we went to lunch with in Salt Lake on the way down. The other happened to be staying at his families cabin right outside Park City. Talk about convenient! We got to go have dinner with him & his wife, and his parents, who were so kind. They even drove us up the mountain to their cabin so we wouldn't get lost. (And trust me, we would have. There were a LOT of cabins up there, and they were towards the top.)
-On Saturday we went to the outlets in Park City. I have to say, I've always heard about great prices at outlets, and I wasn't really impressed. The prices were about the same as going to any store here in town. We did each get a new shirt though, and even got Weston a new hoodie.
-We got back on Saturday evening, in time to get Weston and put him to bed. Was he happy to see us after almost 2 days? Not a chance. He cried for an hour after we left Grandma's house. I was glad he had a good time. And next time, Bryan can take me away for a few days instead of just one night.

-The BIG news of August - Weston moved into a big boy bed!

-For the record, I was all for keeping the crib as long as possible. But remember what I said earlier? Weston climbs. unfortunately, when he climbed out of his crib, it was not in a graceful manner, nor was he able to climb back in. The night that he climbed out, I rocked him to sleep (which took a while), then layed him back in the crib. He woke up in the middle of the night and was climbing out again, so I brought him to my bed for the rest of the night. That was a very long night. The next morning, I pulled out the toddler bed (luckily I had gotten a great deal on craigslist just the week before!) and Weston couldn't wait to jump in it, just like he jumps in Mom and Dad's bed.
-Weston napped in a playpen that day, because there was no way he was going to stay in that bed.
-That night I walked Weston back to his bed over 30 times before he finally stayed there and went to sleep.
-The next night was about 40 times.
-The third night in the bed I walked Weston back to bed about 60 times, and finally just shut his bedroom door.
-Now he knows when it's time for bed, and almost never gets out of bed at all. He even naps in the bed, except for the days I babysit. Then he sleeps in a playpen just like the other kids. (Only because he won't stay in his bed when there are kids to play with. )

-We went with our friends Steve and Karen to the East Idaho State Fair. Having never been to a state fair besides Minnesota, I was shocked how small the grounds were. Was I complaining? Not one bit. Still pretty much all the same food, all the crafts and animals to look at, and you don't have to walk nearly as far. Not to mention it is SO much cheaper than the MN State Fair.
-We took Weston in his stroller, but he was only in it for about 5 minutes total.
-Wes LOVES Steve. He did spend some time on Bryan's shoulders, but for the most part he just reached out to Steve. Neither Bryan or I minded one bit. :)
-Yep, I forgot the camera that day.

-Also in August, we got the GREAT news that we'll be getting a niece! Mathias', as some of you may know, tend to produce boys in mass numbers, so we are thrilled to have a girl in the family! Congratulations to Alicia and Brian!

September:

-We haven't done a lot worth writing about this month, but it sure seems like we've been busy. Where has the month gone?!
- On Labor Day weekend Bryan's brother John and sister Staci came up from Utah to visit.
-Staci was very kind and got up at a ridiculous hour to go on the milk route with Bryan.
-I love saying "'the milk route". Yep, I'm married to a milk man. That's pretty cool to say. (I mean really, how many people do you know that can say that?!)
-We went to breakfast on Labor Day, which we didn't actually get until 11, so it was more like brunch. Bry's parents took us all to Smitty's.
-Smitty's is a place here in town, which serves great breakfast. Get any other meal, and be sure that you have pepto on hand.
-Usually when we go out to eat, I share with Weston, because he's not a huge eater. However, on this particular day, I got a huge waffle (we're talking monster-size waffle), and Weston ate over half of it! Needless to say, he left the restaurant stuffed, and I left... not so stuffed. Now we know that Weston gets his own meal when we get waffles.
-After brunch, we all went bowling. Wes rolled a ball a few times on my turn. The first time he rolled the ball himself, he hit nine pins. No bumpers, no help. NINE pins. (True, every time after that was a gutter ball. But wow!)

-While at the bowling alley, Weston and Bryan played this driving game. Bry worked the pedals, and Weston did all the steering. And he didn't come in last place! (7th out of 8!)

-Weston turned 18 months this last week, which means he went into nursery! I actually took him in a couple of weeks ago just to meet the leaders and other kids. When I tried to take him back to primary with me, he was so upset that the leader said he could stay. This Sunday should have been his first week in there, but he was in there for the third time, and has stayed without a problem every time.
-Weston had his 18-month check-up this week. He has only gained about a pound since his 14-month shots. For weight, he is in the 22%. For his height however, he is in the 83%, and his head is a whopping 91 percentile head.
-Last Christmas, for some reason, we all measured our heads at the Visser's house. Weston's Uncle Scott's head was the smallest adult head, at about 22". (Why do I remember these random facts?!) This week, Weston's head was measured at 19.5". Talk about big brains!

Revived!

As someone recently put it, my blog died. Actually, my will to blog just died. But it has been revived! At least, for today. I won't make any promises about the future. :p

This summer SO much has happened. Therefore, I rely on the list to update:
-Weston has taken an interest in helping around the house. Any chore besides cleaning up his toys, of course. Here he is helping Bry mow the lawn.
-In June my mom and youngest brother Danny came to visit for a few days. Being the genius that I am, I didn't take a single picture. Gah! I hate that. I loved spending time with my mom. I wish she could live here. Weston LOVES his uncle Danny, and spent lots of time running around and laughing with him.
-Also in June, we went down to Salt Lake to visit Bryan's grandparents. It was a quick trip, but we were glad we got to see them. Weston showed them how to drive cars on the floor, and was glad to play with the wheels on their chairs. (People at church don't take so kindly to that.)
-At the end of June, Bryan's sister Jodi and her husband Scott came from Hawaii to visit! They brought with them our nephew Max, who is SO cute. We were instantly best buddies. (He even gave me some barf on my shirt to remember him by.) They did Max's baby blessing here in Idaho, so we got to be there. We sure do miss that little guy, and his parents. Why can't everybody just live closer?
-Weston spent lots of time with his buddy Hannah, who I babysit. They spent many days in the kiddie pool out in the back yard. These kids play so well together, and they are SO cute!
-Bryan had a long beginning to the summer, working full-time, and going to school. A lot of his time at home was spent on the computer doing homework. Weston wanted to do some homework too, so he pulled out his computer, sat at his table, and acted just like Daddy, typing and of course, taking pauses to think.

-In July, Bry and his twin sister, Staci, turned the big 2-5. They can both legally rent a car! Our nephew Max was kind enough to send a cake.
-In July my family came! My parents and two youngest brothers drove out here. We were so glad they were able to make it out here (they almost didn't make it, due to car trouble). While they were here, my mom's brother Dan and his family came up from Downey for a visit. Above is my nephew Ben, Weston and Jonah (Dan and Jodi's adorable little guy!) playing in the pool.

-The big kids enjoyed the pool as well. At least, their feet did.
-While my family was here, I forgot my camera everywhere we went. Typical me. Luckily, I have some pictures from my mom's camera. I wasn't able to use a lot of pictures because for some reason blogger insists on uploading them sideways, even though I rotated them the right way before uploading them. Anyway, here's a few things we did:

-We went swimming at the aquatic center. Monday nights you can get in for $2, so Weston and I have gone several times since. He loves it!
-Joe and Ben feeding the ducks. There are lots more pictures of everyone feeding the ducks, but they all upload sideways. Blasted blogger. (I do LOVE this picture though.)

-Weston and Ben playing drums at our picnic.

-We went mini-golfing! (For some reason, these pictures worked!) Weston and Ben got to golf too, and a grand time was had by all.
-After a week, unfortunately the fam had to head back to MN. We wish they lived closer, but it sure is a treat when we get to see them!

That wraps up June and July. Summer part 2 is on its way...

Update - list style

I haven't had a lot of time for blogging lately, so I've decided to adopt Alicia's blogging technique of "lists."

But before the listing can begin, I have to brag about my husband, the amazing cook! Last year Bryan was a judge in the Idaho Falls cook-off. He's been waiting ever since to enter this year's contest. He entered in the burger category. $80 worth of wagyu meat, plus ciabatta buns, several avocados, homemade cilantro mayo, and an amazing original sauce, Bryan took first place! (And there was even enough meat left for us to have some burgers ourselves!) I am so proud of Bryan for winning, and for working so hard to get what he wants. This is how he goes after everything in life, working hard to excel in school and his job. Thank you for being such an amazing husband and father Bryan!

And now for the list:

  • We are still waiting for summer to come to Idaho.  We've had a few glimpses with one warm day here and there, but then the rain and/or snow comes back. There is a possibility of snow in Sunday's forecast. Seriously?! It's the end of May.

  • Aunt Vivi got Weston a rocking horse, which he was terrified of.

  • Weston does NOT like animals. Dogs, cats, birds, you name it. He does NOT like animals.

  • But then Weston saw Hannah riding the rocking horse, and got curious. He inched closer and closer while he watched her riding and giggling.

  • Now the rocking horse is his third favorite-toy.

  • Nothing can beat the broom for the favorite-toy. But the horse beat everything else, except Bob. Bob the duck goes everywhere.

  • The only place Bob the duck doesn't go is Grandma Visser's house, because Bentley the dog will eat Bob the duck.

  • Weston doesn't like Bentley the dog. Weston does NOT like animals. We're working on that, so  Bentley won't have to sit outside whenever we come over.
  • Weston still gets sick a lot. If it's not teething, it's an ear infection, or today's case, in which we didn't know what was wrong. Weston had a high fever for 24 hours, which tylenol and motrin combined couldn't kill.
  • The thing that finally did kill Weston's fever was a priesthood blessing. It's amazing how the best thing we could do for him was the last thing we thought of. Within 15 minutes of getting a blessing, the fever finally broke, and Weston was our happy, playful boy again.
  • My mom is coming to play in 24 days. I am so excited I can barely stand it.
  • I'm going to take my mom to Artco, the wonderful land of cheap paper. And we will play cricut. Oh, the joy.
  • My mom is coming again in July. Excited much? Yes, I am.
  • My dad, Joe, and Danny are also coming in July. I can't wait to have them all here. Joe and Danny haven't been to our house yet.
  • I don't work at Ole Toro anymore. I worked hard to do a good job, but there just wasn't enough business. Grand opening day, I had 2 tables in 4 hours. I was planning on turning in my 2 weeks notice, but when I got to work one night, the owner told me I wasn't needed anymore, and that I could go home. Was I sad? Not one bit.
  • I thought that going to work would get easier. It didn't. While I did enjoy the work itself, I hated leaving my baby. I hated leaving him more every time I left for work. I hated not being there to put him to bed.
  • I will not be looking for another job. I took the job because I thought it would be fun to work with my friend Kristen (which it was). I also thought it would be nice to make some extra money, but really I didn't make much at all. So it wasn't worth it.
  • Luckily, I have gotten more hours babysitting during the week, so I still get to make a little extra money, but I don't have to leave my son. I am truly blessed.
  • I am currently working on decorating the living room.
  • Not RE-decorating, mind you. We have lived in the house for almost a year, and still haven't decorated. This is soon to change.
  • Depending on how the decorating turns out, HGTV might want to give me a show. Their budget show, "Design on a Dime", decorates a room for $1000. I am decorating the living room, dining room, and the main hallway for under $300 COMBINED. Yep, I'm a genius. (That includes painting)
  • I didn't go out and spend $300 at once. That's not how I roll. I have been planning, sketching, and deal-searching for months.
  • I finally took one of the gates down.
  • We still have the gate to the kitchen and the beast-of-a-gate in the living room.
  • I think the gate in the living room might bring all my design work down a notch. But I know eventually it will go away. Eventually.
  • I don't think eventually will be very soon. Weston gets into EVERYTHING.
  • Bryan had to put huge bolts in the wall and attach the gate to the bolts with zip ties.
  • Weston was REALLY mad when he discovered that he couldn't pull the gate out anymore.
  • Apparently 14 months is not too young to start having tantrums. Weston is the mayor of tantrum city when he doesn't get his way.
  • Unfortunately, 14 months is too young for time-outs to do any good.
  • In addition to getting into everything, Weston also climbs. He climbed up onto the piano. I came out of the kitchen and he was standing ON TOP of the piano. Not on the keys, on the VERY TOP.
  • Weston was quite pleased with himself for this stunt. I was quite terrified.
  • We are parents of a toddler. Even without Weston around, we say "should we go night night?", "I'm going to get into my jam jams", and "I'm going bye-bye." Hopefully, on the rare occasion that we spend time with other adults, we will be able to remember the correct English words.
  • This blog is getting too long.
  • You probably stopped reading a long time ago.
  • If you didn't, congratulations - you just wasted a lot of time reading about our life.

Weston's First Trip to the Park

THIS:
Was us earlier this week. Monday night we got 6" of snow. All school was cancelled on Tuesday, Bryan had an awful day on the route, and as you can see, Weston wasn't thrilled either.

He did find a way to entertain himself inside the house this week, and still enjoys playing with his big box. We throw his stuffed animals in, he goes in and saves them, then brings them to us so we can throw them in again and again. We're so grateful to have such an easy baby to entertain!
However, today is gorgeous! The snow is all but completely gone, and it's in the 50's, so we took Weston to the park. Bryan is on spring break, so he even got to come along!
So excited to go!

Weston wasn't so sure about the slide
But he LOVED the swing!

Weston does NOT like to be in the grass, so I wasn't sure how he would do at the park, but we sure had fun! I'm sure we'll go lots more this summer! :)

Easter morning and a young artist

This year the Easter Bunny (or as my genius Sis-in-law Alicia calls him/her, the EB) visited Weston! The EB visited last year, but our 4-week-old didn't really seem to know or care. This year, Weston was so excited and went straight to emptying his Easter basket one thing at a time.

He got jelly beans, Reeses' pieces, and some bathtub crayons. (These are no ordinary crayons. They are one of the most genius playthings ever invented - they come off with just a little water, and keep him entertained. So much so, in fact, that he didn't want to get out of the bath. ) Once the basket was completely empty, this was the first thing Wes did:

(Open this candy, Mom!)

As mentioned before, Weston is learning to draw with his crayons and has even written on the wall once with a pen. (No, Bryan, you didn't hear about this. I cleaned it up.) Tonight, I changed Weston's diaper, then walked away to grab him some pajamas. I came back to find THIS:

It's a good thing he wasn't wearing pants anymore. You can't even see the pen on his left leg, but I promise it was there. Luckily, when I was scrubbing his legs, rather than cry, he thought I was tickling him. I know I should have told him a firm no and grabbed the pen right away... but 1, I couldn't stop laughing, and 2, I HAD to get a picture. The faint ink that remains should be gone in a couple days.

Maybe our son will be an artist.

See?

I'm sticking to my resolve to blog more. It's so much easier when I don't have to write a year's worth of bloggage in one post.

Today while Bryan had class, Weston and I went to visit our so SO SO CUTE nephew Ben. (And Steve and Vivian, because they live there. ;) ) We had amazing food, and so much fun. I can't believe how fast Ben is growing and learning! Vivian took some pictures with her awesome camera (of which I am insanely jealous). To see said pictures, view her photography blog. LOVE those kids.

While in Rexburg, I had to make a stop at one of my favorite places in the whole word, Artco. It's a printing company that sells their extra paper by the pound. I like to go get plain color cards and envelopes, then jazz them up with my cricut. Today I got an entire envelope box full of cards for $2.39. Less than $3! I get pretty pumped when I find a good deal. Needless to say, going to Artco can cheer me up any day.

Also, Weston walked across the living room today. Across the WHOLE room. By himself. What a kid. Now if only he would walk when I pull out the video camera.
