The little cut-out (niche?) above the dining table. (Previously painted the hideous sky blue that was on the living room wall.)
The hallway, complete with my buffet table that my grandparents were kind enough to bring out to us. (If you look closely, you can see the china closet by the kitchen, which they also brought.) I made the runner that is on the buffet, in case you were wondering. And the stuff sitting on top of it is the stuff that is going to be hung on the wall.
The living room #1: (Please ignore the monster gate that takes over half the room. ) This wall was previously a hideous sky blue, and the mantel was white. I also spray painted the frame of the mirror, which was previously such a dark brown that I always thought it was black, up until a few minutes before I painted it. I also made the curtains! I had bought some that I only sort of liked, but was inspired by Aunt Katie to make my own. I'm so glad I did! (I also made the loops holding the curtains, which I learned from my mom.)
Living Room #2: These canvases were the biggest project of all. Bryan made all the frames, and I put the fabric on. Altogether, they took about 16 hours of work, from making the frames, to putting on the fabric, to putting hangers on the back, and hanging them. (Not to mention the hours of designing the whole thing on graph paper and finding the right fabric.)
This window is between the living room and dining room, and also used to be sky blue. Through the window you can see the teal wall in the dining room, which has yet to be decorated. (Hence the lack of picture) The vase and lilies came from D.I., so again a super cheap project! (In case you're wondering, that's the side edge of a brown paper lunch bag around the vase.)
Future projects include: making pillow covers for the couch pillows (not pictured, but I have extra fabric from the canvases), a big canvas to hang over the piano (in the dining room), more decorations in the hallway, hang the curtains I already have for the dining room, and maybe some vinyl lettering above the mirror in the living room. I'm not sure what I would have it say though.
I just thought I'd brag. I'm pretty proud of our work.
