A year already?

Indeed, it has already been over a year since we got married. Time flies when you're having fun! We spent most of the weekend of our anniversary lounging around our house eating what we wanted and watching way too much TV. Since our anniversary was on Sunday, we went out to eat on Saturday night to a place here in town called Jaker's. Holy AMAZING food. We've only been there twice before, once when we were engaged, and for my birthday last year when Bry's parents payed. (Thanks!) In other words, this is a place only for special occasions for us since we're not exactly rich. And it was SOOOO worth it. Bryan wasted no time in spilling his beverage all over the table, but away from himself. (Accident? :p ) Oh yeah, and he broke the glass. Luckily, our waitress was super nice, and we went early, so she wasn't too busy either.
After dinner we stayed at our other special occasion place (only been there once before), the Destinations Inn. Every room is a different place. This time we stayed in New York, and while it was enjoyable, my feet didn't appreciate the round bed. I forgot the camera, and the blasted hotel site won't let me steal pictures. But it was way cool. One wall was times square, and our breakfast table was a garbage can. There was a stone walkway with a bench like in Central Park, and there's a Statue of Liberty as soon as you walk in the door. Pretty neat. We had some friends staying there the same night, and we couldn't resist playing a little prank on them... :)
All in all, you may be glad to know that we've decided that we still love each other, and we'll stick it out at least another year :p

In other news, we went to the doctor a few weeks ago and since the doctor couldn't find baby's heartbeat with her little machine thingy, we got a surprise ultrasound without extra cost! (Waiting for the ultrasound was only the scariest 15 minutes of my life!) It turns out the lady doing the ultrasound needed a baby at 13 weeks (what I was then) for a research project thing she's doing. So she took LOTS of pictures. We got 10 printouts! Here's some highlights:

Baby's Profile - the lady's project is to show that you can see if a baby has downs syndrome just from an ultrasound. According to her, ours doesn't because of how the nasal bones are and some other thing. (Apparently babies with downs get nasal bones later and they're flatter.)
I just think this one is cute. Baby sucking on his/her fingers! :)

We've realized that this is going to be one spoiled baby. Both grandmas have already bought onsies, we've already received a baby package from my Aunt Krissy, a shirt from Aunt Jodi and Uncle Scott, and people at work are already planning a baby shower. I made them wait until we at least find out the gender! I however, couldn't wait that long to own some article of clothing, so I just got one pair of blue and one pair of pink. (See below.)

I brought home this shirt to Bryan a while ago:
Needless to say, we're having lots of fun getting ready for a little Visser to join us!

It's actually beginning to show that I have a little person inside me! I have officially switched to stretchy maternity pants for every day at work, and most days at home. Baby has kicked a few times, and Bryan even got to feel it - twice! Now that the horrible morning sickness is gone, I'm actually starting to enjoy this! (I was excited before, but it's hard to not be at least a little miserable not being able to keep food down.)

In other news, Bryan has once again grown a goatee. It's finally getting to the point that it's softer, but at first it drove me crazy and he liked to grab me by the face and rub his beard against it. Eeeew! Here's him only shaving the sides of his face.
I guess that's about all there is to tell. As always, we love you all, and we LOVE hearing from you! (hint!)

P.S. I almost forgot! Our next doctor appt. is on October 28th, and that's the big day when we'll hopefully find out what kind of baby this is! (I guess I'LL find out... Bryan already "knows" it's a boy. :p)

I saw the greatest onesie at Once Upon a Child: It said "Future Mr. Right."

Isn't that great? It reminded me of you. =)

If baby is a boy, and is anything like Daddy, then the onsie is certainly right! :)
