Been a While

Believe it or not, I actually have tried to update, and blogger has not been cooperative. Hopefully it will work this time.

As always, we are excited to hear from family members and friends, many of whom live far away. We got this great family picture from Danny recently:

(Left to Right: Kelly, Baby Weston, Bryan, and Danny)

This year I saw my first ever superbowl! Well, I saw the first half of the superbowl, and the very end. Really, I was just there for the food. And what great food it was! Here's the spread, including little smokies (wrapped in bacon!), marinated chicken wings, chips, and much much more! And people wonder why I fell asleep...

The countdown to baby's due date is now down to only 25 days! Needless to say, I'm about ready to pop. (See below)
With the due date approaching ever so quickly, and yet SOOOOOO slowly at the same time, everything reminds me of baby. For example, this pop-tart! I had to have some strawberry pop-tarts (It was a NEED, not a want!), and the only way to get them was to get ones with pictionary on them. Wouldn't you know it, the first one I open is THIS:
(It's a little fuzzy, but it's a baby and a shower - baby shower!)

Since I am no longer working, I have found myself with LOTS of time on my hands. Much of this time is spent watching movies and shows on TLC. I have however, found some projects to keep me busy. Last year for Christmas, Staci gave me a kit to make "stupid sock creatures." Behold the first creation! His name is Claude.
Another great accomplishment of mine is finally beating minesweeper on expert. I had to take a picture to make sure people would believe me.
I have done other things, like decorate the nursery. All I can say is, the doctor better be right about baby being a boy, because the room is all sports! (Not to mention most of the clothes we have are blue!) Bryan put up the crib yesterday, and the room is just about ready to be lived in by a little person.

Yesterday we celebrated our second Valentine's day together. Bryan got me roses the night before, and I got this beautiful box of chocolates! (I'm scared to open it, because it's too pretty! Who could destroy that bow?) The card in the picture is actually from Bry's parents, who also gave us chocolates. Yep, that whole box has definitely been eaten already.
I got up yesterday and made us a special Valentine's breakfast. Only one of the pancakes actually managed to retain it's "lovely" shape, but they sure tasted good! Chocolate chips, bananas, syrup, and whipped cream make for a VERY tasty (Not to mention balanced) breakfast. :)
We had dinner with our neighbors, Steve and Karen. Bryan and Steve kicked Karen and me out while they did the cooking, so we went to a movie. When we got home, there was a 6 course meal waiting for us. It was AMAZING! Most of it was even healthy, and still managed to taste good. That's the best! Dessert was my favorite. We used our fondu pot for the first time, with chocolate and fruit. YUM. Thanks boys!
Well, that's about all we've got. Soon we'll have a much cuter Visser to post pictures of, and I will try to be good and actually post them!

Tag, I'm it!

Alicia tagged me to post the 6th picture in my 6th picture folder. (Which happens to be my LAST picture folder.) Here goes!

This was at my parent's 25th anniversary party, when Bryan and I were engaged. Here's a more recent picture of us:
Okay, I tag Vivian, Staci, John, and Kari.

It's a...

BOY!

Yes, Bryan was right. We went for the ultrasound today and had a blast. Also, we found out that baby is 3 days ahead of schedule from when we last saw doctor. Yay for early babies! (Cross your fingers for that one!)

I can finally buy some blue clothes for our little boy, Weston Bryan Visser.

YAY!

A year already?

Indeed, it has already been over a year since we got married. Time flies when you're having fun! We spent most of the weekend of our anniversary lounging around our house eating what we wanted and watching way too much TV. Since our anniversary was on Sunday, we went out to eat on Saturday night to a place here in town called Jaker's. Holy AMAZING food. We've only been there twice before, once when we were engaged, and for my birthday last year when Bry's parents payed. (Thanks!) In other words, this is a place only for special occasions for us since we're not exactly rich. And it was SOOOO worth it. Bryan wasted no time in spilling his beverage all over the table, but away from himself. (Accident? :p ) Oh yeah, and he broke the glass. Luckily, our waitress was super nice, and we went early, so she wasn't too busy either.
After dinner we stayed at our other special occasion place (only been there once before), the Destinations Inn. Every room is a different place. This time we stayed in New York, and while it was enjoyable, my feet didn't appreciate the round bed. I forgot the camera, and the blasted hotel site won't let me steal pictures. But it was way cool. One wall was times square, and our breakfast table was a garbage can. There was a stone walkway with a bench like in Central Park, and there's a Statue of Liberty as soon as you walk in the door. Pretty neat. We had some friends staying there the same night, and we couldn't resist playing a little prank on them... :)
All in all, you may be glad to know that we've decided that we still love each other, and we'll stick it out at least another year :p

In other news, we went to the doctor a few weeks ago and since the doctor couldn't find baby's heartbeat with her little machine thingy, we got a surprise ultrasound without extra cost! (Waiting for the ultrasound was only the scariest 15 minutes of my life!) It turns out the lady doing the ultrasound needed a baby at 13 weeks (what I was then) for a research project thing she's doing. So she took LOTS of pictures. We got 10 printouts! Here's some highlights:

Baby's Profile - the lady's project is to show that you can see if a baby has downs syndrome just from an ultrasound. According to her, ours doesn't because of how the nasal bones are and some other thing. (Apparently babies with downs get nasal bones later and they're flatter.)
I just think this one is cute. Baby sucking on his/her fingers! :)

We've realized that this is going to be one spoiled baby. Both grandmas have already bought onsies, we've already received a baby package from my Aunt Krissy, a shirt from Aunt Jodi and Uncle Scott, and people at work are already planning a baby shower. I made them wait until we at least find out the gender! I however, couldn't wait that long to own some article of clothing, so I just got one pair of blue and one pair of pink. (See below.)

I brought home this shirt to Bryan a while ago:
Needless to say, we're having lots of fun getting ready for a little Visser to join us!

It's actually beginning to show that I have a little person inside me! I have officially switched to stretchy maternity pants for every day at work, and most days at home. Baby has kicked a few times, and Bryan even got to feel it - twice! Now that the horrible morning sickness is gone, I'm actually starting to enjoy this! (I was excited before, but it's hard to not be at least a little miserable not being able to keep food down.)

In other news, Bryan has once again grown a goatee. It's finally getting to the point that it's softer, but at first it drove me crazy and he liked to grab me by the face and rub his beard against it. Eeeew! Here's him only shaving the sides of his face.
I guess that's about all there is to tell. As always, we love you all, and we LOVE hearing from you! (hint!)

P.S. I almost forgot! Our next doctor appt. is on October 28th, and that's the big day when we'll hopefully find out what kind of baby this is! (I guess I'LL find out... Bryan already "knows" it's a boy. :p)

News!

As you may have guessed by now (most people did as soon as we said the word "news") we're gonna have a BABY! :) We are so excited for this new phase in our life. Thanks to everyone for supporting us in this very exciting time.

Also, because Bryan is SO determined that it will be a boy, I'd like to start a bet. Everyone say what you think it will be and we'll see how many of you are right around the end of October (when we have our second ultrasound to find out.)

We love you!

Our summer so far...

I realize it's been 5 whole weeks since I last posted! Shame on me! The snow in June did finally go away, and it's been hot ever since. I love the heat! Bryan, not so much - but who can blame someone who's job is outside?

Since our last post:

We celebrated Father's Day with Bryan's dad and family. (We tried 4 TIMES to call my dad - I ended up wishing him a happy Father's day the next day.)

This is a slightly more decorated example (with a few less scribbles) of the cards we made in nursery for all the dads. Tom likes to wear Hawaiian shirts, so I added the palm trees with a stencil. :)
Bentley may have had more fun with the wrapping paper than anyone else. :)
In other news, we have been furnishing our apartment with lots of new/used stuff. We find a LOT of our stuff on craigslist! One of our most exciting finds was this dresser. It is very old and sturdy - and HEAVY! Tom came over to help Bry get it up the stairs, and then he was exhausted! (Not pictured here is the huge mirror that attaches to the back - this is MY dresser!)
Bryan has been continuing with his milk route, and gets faster at it every day. A couple weeks ago on my day off, I went on the milk route for a day! This is Bryan in his "Big Cow." (The truck is white with black cow spots.) Bry always told me that kids love the truck, and he wasn't exaggerating! We would pass kids playing outside and they'd yell after us! It was fun to go once, but it was a LOT of work!
The new beauty school in town had a deal on hair cut and color, so I went to get my hair done. When I got there, I had shoulder length, blond hair. Bryan was a little bit surprised when I came home with this! Ignore the freaky eye...

For some reason, we didn't get a better picture of Steve and Vivian when they were here for the 4th. But we were very excited to have them with us! They came down from Rexburg and we went over to Tom and JoAnn's for a barbeque. Delicious! Staci brought "Hulk" cupcakes to the BBQ and we each got a sweet ring!

Vivian took this picture for us at the fireworks. If you've already read her blog, you know I fell asleep about halfway through...
Here's a little video of the fireworks we took with our new camera! (Before I fell asleep!) You can hear Staci and Ian in the background, I think she stabbed him in the eye somehow...

video

Bryan FINALLY got his road bike! He sold his when we got engaged so we could have a little money when we got married. We've saved up and he was finally able to get a new one. Here he is about to go for a ride on his new baby.
As always, we love you all and we'd love to hear from you!

Summer!

It is JUNE , and look at what Idaho summer has given us. Yes, that on the rooftops is SNOW! When will winter END?!
